At this time, Brazos Valley Urgent Care is not offering COVID-19 vaccines.  

The covid-19 vaccine is causing a greater number of side effects in patients than a typical vaccine.  This does not mean it isn’t safe or that you are allergic to it.  

Common Side Effects of the vaccine include:
At injection site:
Pain, redness, swelling
Systemic symptoms:
Fatigue, headache, muscle aches, fever, chills

These are common side effects that can be relieved with over the counter medications.  If you experience these symptoms after the first dose, you should still get your second dose.  

Most side effects will subside in 24-48 hours from the time of vaccination.  If you are experiencing more severe symptoms or symptoms that are prolonged, please contact your primary care physician who knows your complete medical history.
